Macaparana

Full of geometrical shapes, rectilinear incisions or shards scattered on the paper, Macaparana's work seem to question the possibility of a new language: musical no doubt, through the vibrations and the quivering that emerge from his work. These enigmatic pieces depict staves of music in weightlessness or signs embedded in the material. The spectator tries to interpret ambivalent realisations by their representation: nacelle or labyrinth, refined diagram or testimony of a primitive presence? Absence by the incision or presence by the mark left, clue or trace that is erased? The ambiguity resides in the lyricism that emanates from each work. What seems to be affirmed is the sophistication of the craftsmanship, the sensitivity that emanates from it through the play of shadows, light and air.
