After a formation as a painter, Guido Anderloni (1966, Milan, Italy) derived his artistic expression towards installation, photography and video, with the representation of the human body and nature as a primary concern.

Guido Anderloni penetrates into the details of the minuscule from a double path of realism and montage, capturing a man-made reality, pointing to fiction and pictorial literature. It is in this mix of references to Flemish and Spanish painting, rather than to Caravaggio, that the strength of his images lies. His work "imitates" the human tendency to classify things in order to understand them, playing with presences that, in some way, allude to a movement detained by the eye of the camera, (or by death) and allowing a fascinating classification and analysis of what we usually tend to avoid.
